Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WeddMyWay, a wedding planning service available at weddmyway.com (the "Service") ("WeddMyWay", "we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information when you sign up.
- Keeping your password confidential.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us immediately at hello@weddmyway.com.
You may share your account with your partner — this is part of how the Service is intended to work — but you may not share your account with any other person, sublicense it, or use it on behalf of an unrelated third party.
3. Free Trial and Lifetime Access
3.1 Free trial
New accounts begin with a 7-day free trial. During the trial, you have full access to the Service. No payment information is required to start the trial.
3.2 Lifetime access
At any time during or after your trial, you can purchase lifetime access for a one-time payment of US$29 (or local equivalent at the prevailing rate). Lifetime access means:
- You retain access to your account and your wedding planning data for as long as the Service is operated.
- You will not be charged any further fees for the core features available at the time of your purchase.
- "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the Service, not your personal lifetime. See Section 11 for what happens if the Service is discontinued.
3.3 What's included
Lifetime access includes all core features of WeddMyWay as advertised at the time of your purchase. We may, at our discretion, introduce new premium features in the future that require an additional payment. We will not retroactively remove features from your existing lifetime plan.
3.4 Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you agree to Stripe's terms and authorise us to charge the payment method you provide. Prices are listed in US dollars unless otherwise stated.
3.5 Refunds
Because lifetime access is offered at a one-time low price and you have a free trial to evaluate the Service before purchasing, all sales are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable consumer law.

4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose, or to violate any law in your jurisdiction.
- Upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes the rights of others.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, our infrastructure, or other users' accounts.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written permission.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or any data within it.
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages to your guests or vendors.
- Upload viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Your Content
5.1 Ownership
You retain all rights to the content you upload to the Service — your guest list, vendor information, mood board images, budget data, notes, and other planning data ("Your Content").
5.2 Licence to us
To operate the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, display, and back up Your Content, solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or close your account, except for backups and legal records as described in our Privacy Policy.
5.3 Your responsibilities for guest data
When you upload information about your guests, vendors, or other third parties:
- You confirm you have the right to share that information with us.
- You agree to inform those individuals about how their data is used, where required by applicable privacy law.
- You are the data controller for that information; we are a data processor acting on your behalf.
5.4 Public RSVP links
If you generate a public RSVP link to share with guests, the information your guests submit through that link will be added to your account. You are responsible for ensuring your guests are aware their information will be collected.
6. Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, logos, text, graphics, and features, is owned by WeddMyWay and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our written permission.
The "WeddMyWay" name and logo are trademarks of WeddMyWay. You may not use them without permission.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers (Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Lovable Cloud / Supabase for hosting, Google Analytics, and Meta Pixel for analytics). Your use of the Service is also subject to their respective terms where applicable.
We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
8. Service Availability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to perform maintenance, fix bugs, or update the Service, which may cause temporary downtime. We will try to give notice of significant planned downtime where reasonable.
We may also modify or discontinue features over time. Where a change materially reduces the value of your lifetime access, we will tell you in advance.
9. Termination
9.1 By you
You can stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. To delete your account, contact hello@weddmyway.com or use the deletion option in your settings (if available).
9.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You materially breach these Terms.
- Your use of the Service exposes us or other users to legal risk.
- We are required to do so by law.
- You engage in fraudulent or abusive activity.
In serious cases (such as illegal activity), we may terminate immediately without notice. Otherwise, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
9.3 Effect of termination
When your account is terminated, your access to the Service ends. We will delete your wedding planning data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If we terminate your account due to a breach by you, you are not entitled to a refund.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
- We do not guarantee any specific outcomes from using the Service (for example, that you will plan a successful wedding or stay within your budget).
- We are not a wedding planner, vendor, or legal advisor. The Service is a tool — final decisions are yours.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
11. If the Service is Discontinued
If we ever decide to shut down the Service, we will:
- Give you at least 60 days' notice by email.
- Provide a way to export your wedding planning data.
- Where reasonable, offer guidance on transferring to an alternative service.
Lifetime access does not entitle you to a refund if the Service is discontinued in good faith after a reasonable period of operation.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$29.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if we were advised of the possibility.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service in breach of these Terms.
- Your Content, including any claim that it infringes someone else's rights.
- Your unauthorised collection or sharing of guest or third-party information.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
If you don't agree with the updated Terms, you can close your account before they take effect.
15. General
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
- Severability: if any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver: if we don't enforce a right or provision of these Terms, that doesn't mean we've waived it.
- Assignment: you may not transfer your account or rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations (for example, in a sale of the business).
